Atlético Madrid are the latest La Liga team to have been hit by an outbreak of Covid-19.
Manager Diego Simeone as well as players Koke, Antoine Griezmann, Héctor Herrera and João Félix have all tested positive for Covid-19.
Atlético play Rayo Vallecano at home on Sunday and will be without the aforementioned players. Rayo’s manager Andoni Iraola and a large part of the squad have also tested positive this week but the match is expected to go ahead.
Midfielder Marcos Llorente is also injured as are José María Giménez, Sime Vrsaljko and Stefan Savic, although Giménez and Vrsaljko are expected to return soon.
