Atlético Madrid contact the representatives of Borja Iglesias

Atlético Madrid are interested in signing Borja Iglesias if they are able to offload their unwanted players, report Estadio Deportivo.

Los Colchoneros are reshuffling their forwards department after their poor showing in Europe, which resulted in them being knocked out of all continental competitions in the autumn.

The club have been able to part ways with Matheus Cunha already, who joined Wolves on loan, with the Premier League side obligated to purchase the Brazilian striker at the end of the season. Atlético Madrid also want to sell João Félix, who fell out with Diego Simeone earlier this season.

If the red-and-white outfit are able to finalise the sale of Félix this coming January, they would be keen on signing Borja Iglesias from Real Betis. It is believed that Atlético Madrid have already contacted the representatives of the 29-year-old over a possible transfer next month.

While Los Verdiblancos would not be eager to part ways with their Galician forward, they understand that a good sale could help improve their poor financial standing.
