Atlético Madrid consider Leicester City’s Çağlar Söyüncü

Atlético Madrid are interested in signing Çağlar Söyüncü from Leicester City, report AS.

As it was communicated earlier this week, Los Colchoneros are keen to offload Felipe in the January transfer window after failing to perform to Diego Simeone’s standards and it is believed that the club have entered talks with Wolverhampton Wanderers over a possible sale.

According to the latest news, Atlético Madrid are eyeing Söyüncü as a potential replacement for Felipe. While there have been no talks yet between the club and the Premier League side over the transfer of the Turkish defender, it appears as though the La Liga outfit have approached Leicester City regarding the feasibility of a potential deal.

Söyüncü’s contract is set to expire with The Foxes in June 2023, meaning he would be free to sign pre-contractual agreements with other clubs from January onwards.

The 26-year-old joined Leicester City in 2018 from Freiburg and has over 125 appearances for the club in all competitions.
