The transfer team at La Liga giants Atlético Madrid are keeping a close eye on the development of Levante talent Carlos Álvarez.
That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, who have on Wednesday provided an insight into ongoings behind the scenes in Spain’s capital.
Álvarez, for his part, is a 21-year-old attacker, who has been making a name for himself as one of the star performers in Spanish football’s 2nd tier across the season to date.
The youngster generally operates on the right wing, allowing him to cut in onto his trusty left foot, but is also more than capable of taking to the pitch on the left.
Thus far this season, Álvarez has racked up a none-too-shabby total of three goals and four assists.
And such endeavours, as alluded to above, have begun to pique attentions in La Liga.
Specifically, as confirmed by Mundo Deportivo, Diego Simeone’s Atlético Madrid ‘are closely following the developments of the player’.
As much comes with a view to a potential bid for Álvarez down the line, amid an ongoing search for reinforcements out wide at the Metropolitano.
