An insight into the personnel situation in Ernesto Valverde’s Athletic Club squad has this evening come to the fore online.
The info comes courtesy of Mundo Deportivo, and points towards altogether positive news when it comes to the options at the disposal of Valverde for the club’s next outing.
Athletic are set to return to action next Monday, when they welcome high-flying Girona to San Mamés, for a La Liga clash.
The Leones will head into proceedings with sights set on a bounce-back result, after being held to a disappointing stalemate by bottom-of-the-table Almería last time out.
And such endeavours will be aided by the return of no fewer than three key members of the club’s squad.
As per the aforementioned MD, all of Nico Williams, Gorka Guruzeta, and Dani Vivian were spotted back in training alongside the rest of Athletic’s squad on Thursday.
The trio were forced to sit out against Almería on Monday, owing to respective injury concerns.
Back on the training pitch a full four days out from the club’s showdown with Girona, though, all three are expected to be available for selection next time out.
On the other hand, absent from group training earlier today were the quartet of Yuri Berchiche, Oihan Sancet, Ander Herrera, and Álex Berenguer.
