The transfer team at Athletic Club are considering a renewed move for a member of the midfield ranks at La Liga rivals Girona this summer.
That’s according to Marca, who point towards Iván Martín as the player in question.
Midfielder Martín has for his part continued to play a starring role for Girona across the season to date.
All told, the Spaniard has racked up 32 appearances in all competitions, 25 of which came in the form of starts.
And across these outings, Martín has evidently done enough to impress those behind the scenes at the aforementioned Athletic Club.
This comes amid confirmation on the part of Marca that the Basque outfit are considering a renewed assault on his signature this summer.
After coming up short in efforts to bring Martín in ahead of the current campaign, Athletic are continuing to monitor his performances, aware that, in the case of Girona missing out on a European berth for next season, the 26-year-old could be available at a reduced price.
