Aston Villa to race Real Madrid and Barcelona to sign Alberto Moleiro from Las Palmas

Aston Villa are keen on signing Alberto Moleiro from Las Palmas, but would have to compete with Real Madrid and Barcelona in order to get a deal across the line, report AS.

Often compared to Pedri, who also played for Las Palmas before Barcelona secured his services in 2020, Moleiro is one of the most-wanted young Spaniards in the Segunda División.

The 19-year-old has been leading Las Palmas’ promotion charge and has caught the attention of Europe’s elite.

It is believed that Unai Emery is keen on bringing Moleiro to the Premier League. However, Real Madrid and Barcelona have also set their eyes on the youngster.

Moleiro is contracted with Las Palmas until June 2026 and his buy-out clause is currently €30m, which could rise to €60m if the Canary Islands-based club can secure promotion at the end of the season.

Due to the high likelihood of Las Palmas’ promotion to La Liga, interested parties would be keen to secure a deal in the January transfer window,
