AS Monaco manager provides important medical update ahead of Barcelona encounter

AS Monaco manager Adi Hütter provided a medical update ahead their UEFA Champions League opener against Barcelona, at the Stade Louis II on Thursday night.

Lamine Camara came off on a stretcher late-on against AJ Auxerre at the weekend, leading to fears that he would be ruled out against Barcelona. It was revealed by Hütter post-match that he had suffered an Adam’s Apple injury. It was an injury that brought the concussion protocol into place.

The Senegalese midfielder underwent tests on Monday, and he has been cleared to play. “Lamine [Camara] is able to play. He is fit and able to be a part of the amazing game tomorrow,” said Hütter in response to a question posed by Get Football journalist Luke Entwistle.

The Austrian manager added that the only players ruled out of the game are Edan Diop and Mamadou Coulibaly, both of whom are yet to feature for the Principality club this season.
