Horacio Gaggioli, Marco Asensio’s agent, has told El Larguero that the Real Madrid player was close to leaving the club over the summer.
Arsenal, Tottenham and AC Milan were all interested in the player’s services. The Gunners’ offer was almost €40 million. Tottenham put in the highest bid of the three clubs for the 25-year-old.
