A member of the attacking ranks at La Liga giants Real Madrid has emerged as a leading summer transfer target on the part of English clubs Arsenal and Chelsea.
That’s according to Diario AS, who point towards Rodrygo as the player in question.
The subject of Rodrygo’s future has of course taken its place front and centre in the headlines across Spain over the course of recent weeks.
This comes amid claims that the Brazilian, having become somewhat disillusioned with his situation at Real Madrid, is ready to seek out a new challenge.
A number of clubs from across the continent, in turn, have been credited with an interest in bringing Rodrygo in.
And as alluded to above, if the latest word stemming from the media is anything to go by, then two such suitors come by way of the Premier League.
As per a report from AS:
‘Arsenal and Chelsea are closely monitoring Rodrygo Goes’ situation in Madrid.’
Both clubs are said to boast a keen interest in the 24-year-old’s signing, with the former having gone as far as to initiate ‘informal contacts’.
The final say on Rodrygo’s future, it is concluded, will be left to incoming Real Madrid boss Xabi Alonso.
