The goal netted by Real Madrid starlet Arda Güler on Wednesday marked a significant one in his fledgling career.
Real Madrid are of course currently locked in action on the domestic front, in a La Liga meeting with Getafe at the Estadio Coliseum.
With one eye on this weekend’s Copa del Rey final, Carlo Ancelotti opted for a string of changes to his XI for the clash.
One such alteration saw the aforementioned Arda Güler step into a starting role, alongside the likes of Endrick, and Brahim Díaz.
And as alluded to above, late in the first-half in Spain’s capital, it is the Turkish international who has proven himself difference-maker when it comes to the scoreline.
After picking the ball up outside the Getafe penalty area, Güler did brilliantly to cut inside, before driving a right-footed effort home at the near post.
And as alluded to above, in the process, the 20-year-old secured for himself a new personal benchmark.
As revealed by StatMuse, Güler has now scored more goals for Real Madrid (10) than he did for Fenerbahçe (9), in fewer games.
