Real Madrid starlet Arda Güler has made contact with head coach Carlo Ancelotti, regarding his plans for pre-season.
That’s according to Turkish outlet Fanatik, who have on Friday provided an insight into the situation.
Youngster Güler, for his part, is of course currently on international duty, at Euro 2024.
Continuing to light up the world stage, the 19-year-old has played a key role for home country Turkey, on their way to the Last-16 of the tournament.
Depending on how much further Vincenzo Montella’s troops advance, Güler, for obvious reasons, will remain away from the Real Madrid training camp.
Should Turkey do the unexpected and advance as far as the semi-finals of the Euros, the expectation would be for Güler to miss Los Blancos’ pre-season tour of the USA.
If the latest word stemming from the media on Friday is anything to go by, however, then this may in fact not prove to be the case.
As per the aforementioned Fanatik, Güler has already informed boss Carlo Ancelotti of his plans for the weeks ahead.
And the former Fenerbahçe talent made clear during such talks that, no matter his commitments on the international front, he intends to play his part in pre-season.
Güler is ready to give up his summer vacation, to make clear to Ancelotti and the Real Madrid coaching staff his commitment to the cause for the campaign ahead.
After being contacted directly by his club headmaster, who informed Güler that he would not be expected on the pre-season tour if Turkey advance to the final-4 of Euro 2024, the midfielder replied:
“You don’t have to take me out of the tour, I want to be with you even if I have less vacation. I lost a lot of time last year. I want to join the team as soon as possible.”
