‘Any other player could leave’ – Barcelona’s 4-man untouchable list confirmed

An insight into the short list of players to have been deemed as untouchable on the transfer market by the Barcelona brass has on Wednesday been forthcoming.

The info comes courtesy of The Athletic’s Pol Ballús, and points towards just four players as being considered not for sale under any circumstances.

And the quartet in question, in truth, should come as little surprise.

Ballús has confirmed that ‘only Lamine Yamal, Pau Cubarsí, Gavi and Pedri are untouchable’.

This, in turn, means that under the right circumstances, any other member of Hansi Flick’s squad could be moved on, in the face of an offer deemed as sufficient.

Amid interest in the likes of Raphinha, Ronald Araújo and Frenkie de Jong from across the continent, it now remains to be seen whether any such proposal actually lands on the Camp Nou desks before the Spanish transfer window slams shut…
