Antoine Griezmann, speaking at a press conference reported by Relevo, acknowledged that it would be a dream to play in the next Olympic Games but that the competition is fierce as only three players over the age of 23 can go.
“There will only be three lucky ones and the rest will watch it on TV,” the Atlético Madrid forward said.
On Mbappé
“He’s a great player, a great personality. It’s good for us [France] that he’s there. It’s up to us to make sure he has an open mind to help us win.”
France head coach Didier Deschamps has confirmed that Kylian Mbappé will captain his country for tomorrow’s match against Ireland which takes place at the Parc des Princes.
On the transfer window
“There were calls but I was focused on my club, I’m 15 goals away from the top scorer in Atleti history. I told my sister, ‘I’m not moving, I’m staying here’. I’ll try to beat the record.”
