Speaking in his first press conference as a Sevilla player, Anthony Martial explained why he joined the club.
“What convinced me to come was the contact with the sporting director [Monchi] and the head coach [Julen] Lopetegui, who showed me that they wanted me here. I wanted to come and play more and that’s why I’m here, to show what I can do at Sevilla,” Martial said in quotes picked up by Marca.
“I know Lucas [Ocampos] and Jules [Koundé] very well and I hope I can help them. They have given me a warm welcome. I’m coming to a great club in Spain and I hope to help them with the objectives we have this season,” he added.
