New Barcelona signing Anthony Gordon has taken to social media, to send a message to all associated with his new employers.
Winger Gordon was of course unveiled as the latest addition to Hansi Flick’s Barcelona ranks on Friday.
After a quick-fire saga which saw the Camp Nou brass thrash out a big-money deal with their counterparts at Newcastle United, the Englishman put pen to paper on a long-term contract in Catalunya’s capital.
Gordon was presented to the media yesterday evening, impressing onlookers with his ability to speak Spanish, and immediate commitment to the Blaugrana cause.
And as alluded to above, the 25-year-old has since only continued to endear himself to those of a Barca persuasion.
Taking to his official Instagram account on Saturday, Gorden unveiled a lengthy message, as follows:
‘Hello Culers! I’m very happy and proud to be here. It’s a dream come true. It’s not everyday you sign for a club like this. I’m going to work very hard and help the team to win many trophies.
‘I know the responsibility it involves to play for Barcalona and I’m very excited and ready for this challenge. I’m very excited to meet my teammates and coach and start this new chapter here.
‘I want to thank Rafa Yuste and Joan Laporta, Deco and all the people within the club for this opportunity and all the trust they have put into me. Also, I want to thank the fans for the love and support, I’m so excited to play for you all.
‘Visca el Barca y Visca Catalunya.’
