Injury-plagued Sevilla have this week been hit with yet another blow on the personnel front.
That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, who point towards Peque Fernández as the latest member of García Pimienta’s squad to have picked up a problem.
Youngster Peque for his part featured from the off last night, as Sevilla made short work of minnows Las Rozas in the Copa del Rey.
En route to as much, though, the 22-year-old was forced into a premature departure from proceedings.
This came after Peque suffered an ankle injury, which also proved enough to keep him out of training in Nervión on Thursday morning.
The summer arrival at The Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán, in turn, has seen his status to face Real Sociedad this weekend thrown up in the air.
Peque adds to the existing absences of all of Suso, Chidera Ejuke, Ørjan Nyland, Loïc Badé, Saúl Ñíguez and Tanguy Nianzou in García Pimienta’s ranks.
