Another Karim Benzema hat-trick

After scoring a hat-trick at the Santiago Bernabéu against Real Valladolid on Sunday, Karim Benzema scored a hat-trick again this time at Camp Nou to send Real Madrid into the Copa del Rey final.

With the help of their talisman, Madrid came from 1-0 down in the first leg to win convincingly against Xavi’s side on aggregate (1-4).

Benzema’s third of the night came after Barça, on the attack, left space in their defence and Real Madrid took advantage on the counter-attack.

Down the left, Vinícius played a perfect through-ball to Benzema, who finished with perfection to score the fourth and final goal of the night.

Benzema is only the second Real Madrid player to score a hat-trick at Camp Nou. The first was Ferenc Puskás in January 1963.

The former France international also registered an assist, when he created the opening goal for Vinícius.

Benzema has now scored six goals in just four days for Los Blancos, who will play Osasuna in the final in Seville on May 6.
