A member of the defensive ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona looks increasingly likely to depart the club this summer.
That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, who point towards Andreas Christensen as the player in question.
Stopper Christensen has for his part endured an altogether difficult term in Catalunya’s capital to date.
Owing to a pair of long-term injury problems, the Dane, in fact, has taken to the pitch in a competitive setting on just five occasions.
Recent weeks have seen Christensen play a more notable role, with the former Chelsea man’s solid form despite his lack of match sharpness having proven hugely encouraging from a Barcelona standpoint.
In turn, it may come as something of a surprise to learn that, as things stand, Christensen looks likely to be on the move this summer.
As per a report from Mundo Deportivo:
‘At centre-back, Barça must decide what to do with Andreas Christensen, whose contract expires in 2026. The Dane is looking to leave, He is eyeing an exit.’
It now remains to be seen if Hansi Flick and co. are willing to grant such a wish on Christensen’s part without a fight.
