Another member of Hansi Flick’s Barcelona squad has on Tuesday overtaken his goals tally for the entirety of last season.
This comes owing to developments in the club’s meeting with Atlético Madrid.
Barcelona are of course currently locked in action, in the first leg of a Copa del Rey semi-final showdown with Diego Simeone’s Atlético.
And after a dismal start to proceedings, which saw them fall two goals behind inside six minutes, the Blaugrana have since turned things around in impressive fashion.
Owing to strikes on the part of all of Pedri, Pau Cubarsí and Iñigo Martínez, the evening’s hosts now lead by three goals to two.
And en route to as much, one such player broke his goalscoring tally for the 2023/24 campaign.
The player in question? Pedri.
As per statisticians StatMuse, after kicking Barcelona’s comeback into gear on Tuesday, the 22-year-old made it five goals for the season, one more than the four he managed last time out.
