Barcelona star Dani Olmo has this week joined the long list of those to have publicly poked fun at La Liga and VAR, over developments in the Blaugrana’s most recent outing.
Hansi Flick’s troops were of course back in action last weekend, making the trip to Anoeta for a meeting with Real Sociedad.
And, en route to an eventual 1-0 defeat, Barca found themselves the victims of one of the most controversial officiating decisions of the season to date.
This came after Robert Lewandowski saw what looked a completely legitimate opener chalked off for offside, after the boot of Sociedad defender Nayef Aguerd was mistaken for that of the Pole by the VAR team in San Sebastian.
The call sparked a public outcry, with fans, players and the media alike having been quick to make clear their collective bewilderment.
And, as alluded to above, on Thursday, such criticism has been added to by none other than Barcelona star Dani Olmo.
Questioned on the incident during an interview with Catalunya Ràdio, midfielder Olmo, with a wry smile etched across his face, responded:
“I think Lewandowski wears a no.43 boot, although in the video it looked a little longer…”
