La Liga outfit Almería have this evening received an official offer for defender Sergio Akieme.
That’s according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, who has on Friday provided an insight into developments behind the scenes at Power Horse Stadium.
Akieme, for his part, has enjoyed a solid campaign to date.
Amid the collective struggles being endured by Almería as a club, the left-back has proven himself a rare positive, en route to starts in all but three of the Rojiblancos’ league outings.
And such efforts on Akieme’s part, evidently, have not gone unnoticed across the continent.
This comes amid confirmation that Almería have opened negotiations with Ligue 1 side Stade de Reims, over the 26-year-old’s potential sale.
Reims are understood to have forwarded an opening proposal for Akieme, since rejected after failing to meet Almería’s asking price.
Nevertheless, talks remain ongoing, with Reims confident that an agreement will ultimately be struck.
