Álex Remiro: “It was the worst night of my life.”

In an interview with Movistar’s El Tercer Tiempo, Real Sociedad goalkeeper, Álex Remiro, admitted that he experienced the worst night of his life after conceding a goal in the 91st minute of the Basque derby against Athletic Club.

“It was the worst night of my life. I haven’t been able to sleep and I’ve been crying for hours,” Remiro said.

“I don’t know why I came out with my fists, I’m still thinking about it”.

Remiro’s failed punch resulted in Iker Muniain’s free-kick hitting the back of the net with just minutes left on the clock.

Real Sociedad moved one point ahead of Real Madrid at the top of the table with the draw at the Reale Arena.
