In an interview that he gave to RTV Betis and was transcribed by Mundo Deportivo, Álex Moreno discussed his hopes and ambitions for the upcoming season.
The Spanish full-back turned down the chance to go to Nottingham Forest this summer in favour of staying at Real Betis:
“I made the decision. I’m at a club that I love and I’m happy at the moment. I’ve had bad times, good times. I am happy to have won a title and my aspiration is to continue at my best level. I am very happy to be able to stay here. I had to talk to a lot of people.”
“In the end, the deciding factor was the stability that I have here and my ambition to continue growing at this club and to continue winning things,” he revealed.
Moreno also expressed his desire to go to the World Cup later this year with the Spanish national team:
“My dream and my motivation will always be to achieve more. And my aspiration is going to be to go to the World Cup, to go with the national team, to go with the ambition of continuing to grow as a footballer. That for me is a very important step in my career and I hope it happens.”
