AC Milan star Theo Hernández made use of the opportunity to pay tribute to former teammate and Real Madrid midfielder Brahim Díaz over the weekend.
Theo, for his part, kept alive a scintillating stretch of individual form, in Milan’s Serie A visit to Hellas Verona on Sunday.
En route to an eventual 3-1 triumph, the France international notched the Rossoneri’s opener on the stroke of the interval, to take his tally for the campaign to a head-turning 15 direct goal contributions.
And yet, as alluded to above, on Sunday, it was a member of the first-team ranks at La Liga giants Real Madrid who was on Theo’s mind.
After finding the net once more, the 26-year-old celebrated with a ‘shrug’ in the direction of the crowd.
This is widely recognised as the trademark celebration of the aforementioned Brahim Díaz – with whom Theo maintains a close bond owing to their time spent together in Milan:
