AC Milan star Rafael Leão has this evening provided an insight into his future in Italy.
And the news will no doubt come as a blow to any and all clubs hopeful of luring the Portuguese away from San Siro any time soon.
The subject of wide-man Leão’s plans beyond the summer has of course long taken its place front and centre in the media headlines across Europe.
As much comes with two of the continent’s heavyweights understood to have earmarked the 24-year-old as a leading transfer target.
French champions PSG view Leão as a potential replacement for the outbound Kylian Mbappé, whilst Barcelona consider him a potentially game-changing addition amid their ongoing search for reinforcements on the left flank.
Speaking at a press conference as part of the release of his new book – ‘Smile: My life between football, music and fashion’ – the talented attacker was this evening therefore grilled on his future.
Leão, though, appeared in absolutely no two minds when it comes to where he will be playing his football over the seasons to come:
“I could not leave Milan, they were always close to me, even during the most difficult moments of my life,” he explained to the media.
Pressed further on the alleged interest of a whole host of big-name clubs from across Europe, when asked where he envisions his future lying, Leão then swiftly reiterated:
”At Milan.”
