AC Milan and Spain star Álvaro Morata hospitalised following a clash in training

Álvaro Morata has been involved in a heavy clash of heads with teammate Strahinja Pavlovic during training on Thursday with AC Milan.

As per Cadena SER, the Spanish captain was taken to hospital following the incident, in order to rule out any serious injuries.

Initial tests have ruled out anything serious, but very little is currently known about the incident, including whether the Spaniard will miss any game time for club or country.

The 32-year-old will have to remain in hospital for further monitoring following the incident, as is customary in these types of situations.

There is a very real chance that Morata may miss AC Milan’s clash against Cagliari this weekend, even if it’s only as a precaution.

This news comes very soon after the forward was included in Luis de la Fuente’s Spain squad to face Denmark and Switzerland in the Nations League.

We will continue to keep our eyes on this story and will be sure to inform you of any updates in the hours or days to come.
