‘About to arrive’ – Barcelona close to €100m financial boost

La Liga giants Barcelona are inching towards an imminent, and much-needed boost on the financial front.

That’s according to Diario Sport, who have on Monday provided an insight into the latest developments behind the scenes in Catalunya’s capital.

The Blaugrana, for their part, have long been working towards securing fresh funds, to ensure their ability to work under the 1:1 rule on the transfer market.

To date, such investment has trickled in more than flowed, through sponsorships and more.

As alluded to above, though, if the latest word stemming from the media on Monday is anything to go by, then the kind of big-money injection which Joan Laporta and co. have so long been seeking will soon be incoming.

This comes with the funds which the club have for so long been awaiting for Barca Studios finally set to land in the Camp Nou accounts.

After German investors Libero failed to produce their promised payment in time, a separate partner have agreed to step in.

As per Sport, as much will come by way of an initial €40 million, over the coming days.

And, should all go according to plan, this injection will be followed swiftly in turn by another, on this occasion worth €60 million:

‘According to club sources, Barcelona have also been working for months to obtain a further 60 million for Barca Studios, and it is expected that they can arrive around August 20 of this year.’
