‘A player I love’ – Brahim Díaz speaks out on incoming Real Madrid teammate Kylian Mbappé

Real Madrid star Brahim Díaz was today asked for his take on the talents boasted by soon-to-be Blancos teammate Kylian Mbappé.

As much, of course, comes amid the widespread knowledge that frontman Mbappé, at any moment, could be unveiled as the latest Galactico addition to Carlo Ancelotti’s star-studded squad.

Negotiations between the Real Madrid brass, and the France international’s entourage, have been ongoing for some time now, with a view to an agreement on the terms of a contract beginning in the summer.

This comes after Mbappé informed long-time employers Paris Saint-Germain of his intention to depart upon the conclusion of his deal at the Parc des Princes this coming June.

Speaking to the media this week, it therefore came as little surprise when the subject of his incoming Blancos teammate was put to the aforementioned Brahim Díaz.

During an interview with El Larguero, midfielder Brahim was asked whether he agrees with the sentiment that Mbappé stands alone as world football’s best player.

The 24-year-old, keeping his wits about him, though, assured that ‘the best’ are already plying their trade in Madrid, albeit with PSG’s talisman a player whom Brahim is highly appreciative of:

“Mbappé is the best player in the world? The best are at Real Madrid, he’s among the best and he’s a player I love, but I have some very good teammates.”
