6 to miss Real Madrid? Bayern Munich injuries pile up as boss Tuchel confirms 2 fresh blows

Bayern Munich head coach Thomas Tuchel has on Saturday confirmed two fresh personnel concerns in his squad.

As much comes owing to developments in Bayern’s Bundesliga meeting with Eintracht Frankfurt earlier this afternoon.

The Bavarians, for their part, warmed up for their impending Champions League semi-final first-leg showdown with Real Madrid with a 2-1 downing of Eintracht at the Allianz Arena.

Their eventual victory, however, appears to have come at a cost.

Over the course of the 90 minutes on Saturday, both Konrad Laimer and Matthijs de Ligt were forced into premature departures from the action.

Speaking to the media post-match, Thomas Tuchel, in turn, went on to admit that the withdrawals of the pair came owing to respective injury blows:

“Konny Laimer has twisted his ankle and has a capsule injury. Matthijs de Ligt has an inner ligament injury in his knee. We have to see if both of them are fit by Tuesday.”

Just three days out from facing the aforementioned Real Madrid, as much could not come at a worse time for Bayern Munich.

Add to this the fact that Jamal Musiala was forced into a last-minute withdrawal from matchday duties against Eintracht, Dayot Upamecano picked up a training ground injury on Friday, Leroy Sané remains unavailable and Kingsley Coman has been ruled out for the season, and the German heavyweights could be without as many as six key players on Tuesday night.
