5 in, 2 out: Real Betis injury update before Atlético clash

An update on the personnel situation in Manuel Pellegrini’s Real Betis squad has today been provided.

The info comes courtesy of Mundo Deportivo, who point towards a host of Betis’ key performers as preparing for imminent returns to the pitch.

After sitting out the club’s 3-1 downing of Athletic Club over the weekend owing to suspension, all of Sokratis, Marc Roca and Juan Miranda are in line to return to matchday duties on Sunday, against Atlético Madrid.

And also expected to be available following respective spells on the sidelines are Ayoze Pérez and Guido Rodríguez, albeit with the latter’s status as of yet less clear.

Nabil Fekir, meanwhile, should be at the disposal of boss Pellegrini, despite having suffered a broken nose against Athletic Club.

Turning attentions towards those in line to miss out at the Wanda Metropolitano, the quartet of Isco, Cédric Bakambu, Marc Bartra and Abner have been joined by two new faces on the treatment table in Andalusia.

The players in question? Aitor Ruibal and Sergi Altimira, both of whom look certain to miss out against Atlético, too, owing to injuries suffered at the weekend.
