4 in, 2 out: Real Betis squad for Cádiz clash

Real Betis’ travelling squad for the club’s upcoming meeting with Cádiz has this afternoon been unveiled.

Manuel Pellegrini’s troops are set to return to action on Friday night, in the opening fixture of the La Liga weekend.

A trip to relegation-battling Cádiz lies in store, against whom Betis will attempt to get back to winning ways on the back of a 1-1 stalemate with Getafe last time out.

And such endeavours will be aided by the inclusion of three high-profile names in the Verdiblancos’ ranks.

First, and most notably, January signing Chimy Ávila has been afforded his first matchday call-up by boss Pellegrini, expected to be afforded his debut at the Estadio Nuevo Mirandilla.

And joining Chimy in making the trip will be the returning pair of Marc Roca and Claudio Bravo, as well as defensive starlet Xavi Pleguezuelo.

Missing out, on the other hand, will be star performer Isco, who suffered a hamstring injury against Getafe which is expected to keep the midfielder out for at least a month.

And also unavailable for selection for the regional derby are all of Abner, Guido Rodriguez, Marc Bartra, Youssouf Sabaly, and winter addition Cédric Bakambu.
