Four high-profile members of the first-team ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona will be walking the disciplinary tightrope in the club’s upcoming meeting with Getafe.
Xavi’s troops, of course, are set to return to action on Saturday afternoon.
Fresh off a somewhat underwhelming 1-1 stalemate with struggling Serie A outfit Napoli in midweek, Barca will turn their attentions back towards matters on the domestic front, in a league clash with the aforementioned Getafe.
With a victory set to guide the Blaugrana, at least momentarily, clear of Girona into 2nd in the table, Xavi’s stars will no doubt head into proceedings all guns blazing, desperate for a return to winning ways.
As alluded to above, though, should any of four key players overstep the disciplinary mark, they could well find themselves facing up to a one-game suspension.
The players in question? Ronald Araújo, Robert Lewandowski, João Cancelo, and Oriol Romeu.
All have been shown yellow cards in four separate fixtures across the season to date.
A further booking on Saturday, in turn, would give rise to a La Liga-enforced one-match ban, for Barcelona’s meeting with Athletic Club on March 3rd.
