A third member of the first-team setup at La Liga giants Barcelona has on Monday been forced to pull out of international duty.
As much has been confirmed by Diario Sport, who points towards Héctor Fort as the player in question.
Defender Fort was for his part absent from Hansi Flick’s Barcelona squad which ultimately fell at the hands of Real Sociedad over the weekend.
This came owing to what the club described as a ‘lower back problem’.
And as much, as alluded to above, has proven enough to rule the full-back out of his upcoming commitments on the international front, too.
Fort was last week called up to the Spanish U19 squad, for a mini qualifying tournament for the upcoming European Championships.
As confirmed by Sport, though, the 18-year-old will play no part for his country over the coming week.
Fort joins fellow Barcelona stars Lamine Yamal and Robert Lewandowski in being forced to withdraw from international duty over the course of the day to date.
