3 in, 3 out: Real Sociedad name squad for Almería clash

La Liga outfit Real Sociedad have today named the club’s latest matchday squad, featuring a number of notable inclusions and exclusions alike.

Imanol’s troops are set to kick the final stretch of their campaign into gear on Sunday night, when they welcome La Liga basement dwellers Almería to Anoeta.

La Real will head into proceedings fresh off a timely uptick in form, which has seen them open a gap to the rest of the top-6 chasing pack in Spain’s top-flight.

As much comes owing to a trio of successive victories.

In their efforts to make it four on the bounce on Sunday, the Basque outfit will be forced to make do without several high-profile performers, though.

This comes amid confirmation that all of Carlos Fernández, Aihen Muñoz and Brais Méndez remain unavailable through injury.

On the other hand, linking back up with Imanol’s squad will be Robin Le Normand and Álvaro Odriozola, who missed the club’s win over Alavés owing to suspension and injury respectively.

And Takefusa Kubo will also be at the disposal of the Sociedad coaching staff, after recovering from a minor hamstring issue.
