A head-turning story surrounding the ongoing renovation process of La Liga giants Barcelona’s Camp Nou ground has today come to the fore.
The info comes courtesy of Mundo Deportivo, and reveals that a serious fight broke out between those working on the project.
The incident in question played out on Arístides Maillol Street, in front of the entrance doors to the stadium.
Two groups of workers, it is claimed, confronted one another, culminating in tensions escalating and a physical fight ultimately breaking out.
Two of those involved were left with injuries, one of whom was later escorted to a health centre for treatment.
Police have since made four arrests, albeit with it still unclear exactly what took place to spark such a violent scene.
It is concluded:
‘Barça sources consulted by MD have confirmed the incident and assured that they will take the appropriate measures so that this type of incident does not occur again.’
