2 changes: Barcelona’s predicted XI to face Red Star

The predited XI of players expected to be fielded by Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick for the club’s upcoming meeting with Red Star Belgrade has this afternoon been revealed online.

The info comes courtesy of Diario Sport, and points towards Flick as preparing some tweaks to his line-up for the clash.

Barcelona are of course fresh off making it six wins on the spin across all competitions over the weekend, courtesy of a 3-1 downing of neighbours Espanyol.

Eager to maintain as much consistency as possible, it should therefore come as little surprise to hear that the Blaugrana coaching staff are planning only minor alterations, rather than a major overhaul for the club’s next outing.

The Catalans are primed to return to action later this evening, in a Champions League meeting with Serbian giants Red Star.

And, according to Sport, nine of the 11 players from the weekend’s derby will maintain their starting spots, with changes only planned at right-back, and in the middle of the park.

The changes in question, it is expected, will see Jules Koundé replace Héctor Fort, and Frenkie de Jong step in for Marc Casadó.

Barcelona’s predicted XI to face Red Star:

Iñaki Peña; Koundé, Cubarsí, Iñigo Martínez, Balde; De Jong, Pedri, Fermín; Lamine Yamal, Lewandowski and Raphinha.
