2 in, 5 out: Real Madrid name squad for Girona clash

La Liga champions Real Madrid have on Friday unveiled the club’s travelling squad for their upcoming meeting with Girona.

Carlo Ancelotti’s troops are of course primed to return to action tomorrow night.

Fresh off a 4th defeat in seven in midweek, on this occasion at the hands of Athletic Club, Real are primed to make the trip to Catalunya, to take on the aforementioned Girona.

Images stemming from Valdebebas on Friday had given rise to hope of a potential return for star winger Vinícius Jr. for the clash, after the Brazilian was spotted training alongside the rest of Ancelotti’s squad.

This, however, will not prove to be the case.

As confirmed across social media this afternoon, Vinícius has missed out on a place in Los Blancos’ travelling squad bound for the Estadi Montilivi.

Also absent are all of David Alaba, Eduardo Camavinga, Éder Militão, and Dani Carvajal.

Afforded respective call-ups by boss Ancelotti, on the other hand, are highly-regarded up-and-coming pair Chema, and Gonzalo García.
