1 in, 2 out: Real Sociedad squad list for Mallorca clash

La Liga outfit Real Sociedad have this evening unveiled the club’s matchday squad for their upcoming showdown with Mallorca.

Fresh off a disappointing 3-1 downing at the hands of Villarreal in La Liga over the weekend, Sociedad are set to turn their attentions back to the club’s ongoing pursuit of silverware, on Tuesday night.

A meeting with the aforementioned Mallorca lies in wait, in the 2nd leg of the Copa del Rey semi-final tie between the clubs.

The matchup currently sits on a knife-edge, on the back of a goalless stalemate in the first leg earlier this month.

Safe to say, then, that hosts La Real will be keen to have all the help they can get when taking to the pitch at Anoeta in 24 hours’ time.

And, on Monday, they have indeed been afforded a boost, by way of the return of a key member of Imanol’s squad.

The player in question? Mikel Oyarzabal.

Attacker Oyarzabal has been forced to sit out his side’s last five outings across all competitions, owing to a lingering muscular concern.

The Spanish international, though, has been included in Sociedad’s official squad list to face Mallorca.

Also named by boss Imanol are both Hamari Traoré and Arsen Zakharyan, despite their respective departures from Friday’s defeat to Villarreal.

On the other hand, absent once more is Aritz Elustondo, as well as, significantly, Ander Barrenetxea.
