An update on the injury situation in La Liga champions’ Real Madrid’s squad has on Friday been provided.
The info comes courtesy of Blancos insider Arancha Rodríguez of COPE, who has confirmed that Carlo Ancelotti is expected to welcome back a leading member of his attacking ranks to face Getafe this weekend.
The player in question? Rodrygo.
Speaking to the media in the aftermath of his side’s defeat at the hands of Liverpool in midweek, Ancelotti hinted that both frontman Rodrygo and midfielder Aurélien Tchouaméni could be given the medical green light to return to the pitch on Sunday.
After the former was spotted back in group training on Friday, he has in turn been declared fit to face Getafe.
The news regarding Aurélien Tchouaméni, though, is of a less encouraging nature, with the France international yet to take his place back amongst his teammates at Valdebebas, therefore set to miss out in two days’ time.
Tchouaméni will be joined by all of David Alaba, Dani Carvajal, Éder Militão, Eduardo Camavinga and Vinícius Jr. in watching on from the stands against Getafe.
