1 in, 1 out: Granada squad latest ahead of Almería

An update on the personnel situation in Alexander Medina’s Granada squad has this evening been forthcoming online.

The info comes courtesy of Mundo Deportivo, who point towards one key member of the Nazaríes’ ranks continuing to struggle for fitness.

Granada, for their part, are currently in the process of putting the finishing touches on preparations for an absolutely crucial weekend outing.

Amid their ongoing battle against relegation, the Andalusian outfit are primed to play host to bottom-of-the-table Almería, on Sunday evening.

Emerge triumphant, and Granada will afford their survival hopes a major boost.

Slip to defeat, however, and the day’s hosts will inch ever closer to bidding their top-flight status goodbye for next season.

In their hopes of avoiding as much, Granada will be able to call upon midfielder Gonzalo Villar, whose suspension for an accumulation of yellow cards was served last time out at Barcelona.

On the other hand, a major doubt to feature remains Bruno Méndez.

Stopper Méndez picked up a muscular problem in Catalunya last weekend, and is yet to return to full training alongside the rest of his teammates.

His status for Sunday, as a result, is currently up in the air.
