1 in, 1 out – Futures of Real Madrid pair Luka Modrić & Nacho clarified

Updates on the futures of two veteran members of the Real Madrid locker room have been provided this evening.

The info comes by way of Relevo, who have revealed the latest on the likelihood of both Nacho and Luka Modrić staying put for next season.

Starting with the former, at present, all signs point towards Nacho prolonging his stay in Spain’s capital.

The 34-year-old already has a one-year contract extension on the table by way of the Real Madrid brass, ahead of the expiration of his current terms in the summer.

Honoured by his role as captain in Carlo Ancelotti’s star-studded squad, Nacho, in turn, is expected to put pen to paper on terms with Los Blancos through 2025 in the very near future.

The situation of Luka Modrić, on the other hand, looks an altogether different one.

Unlike his captain, midfield icon Modrić has not yet been offered an extension to his soon-to-be-expired deal at the Santiago Bernabéu.

Now 38, and finally beginning to show his age, the widespread expectation is therefore that the Real hierarchy will bid an emotional farewell to the Croatian come the season’s end.

As Relevo put it, his ‘future in white will not last beyond 2024’.
