1 in, 1 out: Barcelona to make one change to XI for Real Madrid clash

An insight into the XI of players expected to take to the pitch for Barcelona against Real Madrid on Sunday has today been provided.

The info comes courtesy of Mundo Deportivo, and points towards one major change as being in store.

Barca, of course, are fresh off being sent packing from the Champions League in heartbreaking fashion in midweek, at the hands of Paris Saint-Germain.

Despite heavy criticism surrounding the performances of a number of the Blaugrana’s stars across the 90 minutes, though, the vast majority look set to maintain their places in the line-up for El Clásico.

As per the aforementioned MD, all of Marc-André ter Stegen, Jules Koundé, Ronald Araújo, João Cancelo, İlkay Gündoğan, Lamine Yamal, Raphinha and Robert Lewandowski are locked in to feature from the off tomorrow night.

In addition, Andreas Christensen will be reintroduced to the XI at the base of midfield.

What remains unclear, however, is just who the Dane is set to step in for.

The two options are of course Pedri and Frenkie de Jong, both fresh off recovering from spells on the sidelines through injury.

It remains to be seen who Xavi opts for, but as much could well prove pivotal to Barcelona’s chances of emerging from the Santiago Bernabéu with something to show for their efforts.
