Barcelona fans take fresh aim at Joan Laporta during Barca Atlètic’s meeting with Ibiza

Sections of the crowd in attendance at Barcelona Atlètic’s meeting with Ibiza on Saturday night made use of the opportunity to make their grievances with president Joan Laporta known.

Rafa Márquez’s troops were back in action a short time ago, welcoming Ibiza to the Estadi Johan Cruyff for the 2nd leg of the promotion playoff semi-final tie between the clubs.

And, after falling into an early two-goal hole, a rip-roaring comeback ultimately saw Barcelona emerge on the right side of a 5-3 result.

As much saw the Blaugrana book their spot in the playoff finale, with a place in the 2nd tier of Spanish football on the line.

As alluded to above, however, amid an otherwise positive night’s work all round for Barca, certain sections of the club’s fanbase were nevertheless eager to take aim at a leading member of the club’s board.

After a tumultuous close to the campaign for the club’s first-team, the supporters in question, not for the first time, directed their anger at president Joan Laporta, who was himself in attendance at the Estadi Johan Cruyff.
